What file types do you support?

We accept a wide range of file formats, including:

Document types (DOC, DOCX, PDF, TXT)
Image files (TIF, GIF, JPG, JPEG, PNG)
CAD/3D drawing formats (SLDPRT, SLDASM, SLDDRW, IGS, IGES, C, BIN, SAT, WRL, STEP, STP, PRT, XPR, ASM, XAS, CGR, IPT, DWG, DXF, EPRT, EDRW, EASM, and other 3D drawings).

Mainly for engineering we support SolidWorks formatted file types (anything from step, stp, prt, asm, and DWG/DXF. However, we are flexible and have the resources to work with a plethora of file types. Simply reach out with any questions.

Do you have minimum orders?

No, we do not.  If you require smaller quantities, or as few as one piece, we have a solution for you.

How long does it take to get a quote?

We turn around most quotes within 24-48 hours: the time is dependent upon the complexity of the project.

What materials do you work with?

Carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, other ferrous and non-ferrous metals, various plastics. 

What thickness of material do you work with?

Ranges from as small as 22 ga sheet metal to 1 Inch thick of material with laser cutting. Gas assisted cutting ranges based upon the material type. Please reach out for exact specifications.

CNC Machining, Lasers, Finishes

At Applied Fab and Machining, our CNC machining capabilities allow for tight tolerances and intricate designs, while our laser cutting technology ensures accuracy and efficiency. To complete the process, we offer a range of finishes—including paint, powder coating, and plating options—to meet your specific requirements. What finishes do you offer?

Through our network of partners, we can offer almost any finish you need.  These may include paint, plating, anodizing, chemical conversion coating, thermal processing and more.

What if I need to convert a 3D design file?

We have the capability to work with many kinds of files. If you have questions or need assistance on conversion please reach out to our team on our contact page or call us at (715) 359-4728.

What if I don’t have a 3D design file?

In most cases, we can use 2D cad files or even PDF files for simple designs, more complex designs would require 3D models to confirm design intent and mitigate potential misunderstandings.  We can work with you and your team to develop 3D models.
